A blend of traditional shapes, materials and construction, met with a bespoke and elegant interior design, situated in a beautiful private valley in the depths of Cornwall.

The shepherd’s hut was entirely hand-made (all except the original Devon-made wheels) on our yard. From the chassis and tow hitch all the way up to the hinges and log burner. All of the timber (mostly larch) was sourced from a local sawmill; the door and window hinges and log burner hand-forged by a local blacksmith; insulated with local sheep wool and hemp.

The client wanted a traditional-looking shepherd’s hut as a guest room on their land, but with a bespoke and vibrant interior. The interior is mostly upcycled pallet wood, finished with a range of distressing techniques and finishes to give it its character and charm.
